Laura Kellison, Psy.D.
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY19863) and have been working in the fields of health care, research, and psychology for 20 years. I have advanced training in child and adolescent psychology and enjoy working with children and families. I also work with couples and individuals.
Prior to private practice, I worked at in patient settings, community mental health agencies, residential treatment centers for both children and adults, and at Kaiser Permanente as a Post-Doctoral Resident and Staff Psychologist for six years.
My clinical work has focused on using a variety of approaches depending on the clients needs. With children, I utilize a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), play therapy, Narrative Therapy and expressive arts. I am also fully trained to work with couples and conduct family therapy. With adolescents, I have found that they can really benefit from supportive psychotherapy using a Narrative Approach. I often use Solution Focused Therapy to address problems in an efficient manner.
Erica Disney, Psy.D.
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 22598). For the past 14 years I have been working with individuals and adults by helping them make necessary changes in their lives. I obtained my Master's and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology.
We have had extensive experience and success working with clients struggling with issues of depression, anxiety (OCD, Social Phobia, Panic Disorder), suicidality and self harm behaviors, eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
Our work with children and families has centered around parenting issues and struggles, discipline strategies, teen depression, divorce and co-parenting, sibling rivalry, school and academic problems, and ADHD.
We work collaboratively with clients in order to best understand the problems that need to be addressed. Once we have identified the issues, we can proceed by looking at ways to best cope with and solve them using a positive and strength based approach.
